2012 MLS Cup Final: Match Day Commentary

CARSON, Calif.– The Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo square off today at Home Depot Center in the MLS Cup Final for the second straight year (4:30pm, ESPN).

The Galaxy enter as defending champions and will be looking for their fourth title in club history. They take on a Dynamo side with two titles of their own, and a team much better than the squad that lost to the Galaxy in the 2011 MLS Cup Final.

The match-up features two of the most accomplished coaches in American soccer history, with Bruce Arena going for an unprecedented fourth championship, while Kinnear looks to join Arena as the only coaches with three titles.

SBI will be providing live commentary on today’s match so please feel free to follow along with all of the action here as Ives Galarcep, Franco Panizo and Thomas Floyd provide updates from Home Depot Center. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

  1. Yep, something is wrong, the MLS commissioner stated that we have three time zones. (Four on the continent, 9 total for the US if you go include the islands and Alaska)

  2. Seriously?

Seriously Twellman? One bad game against Ghana is why Ricardo Clark doesn’t play for the USMNT? Seriously? Are you kidding me? Just one bad game?

Get the h*ll off my TV.

  3. Stop getting Twellman for important games. Seriously, who makes these calls? He’s easily, far and away the worst commentator in MLS on any network.

  4. Doesn’t ESPN realize that not everyone owns a TV and has cable?? These ESPN3 blackouts are crippling for us poor college/grad students.
