FC Barcelona is enjoying a dream season in La Liga, and has left Real Madrid in the dust in the title chase, but there is one team that hasn’t quite lost sight of Barca in the standings.
Atletico Madrid sits just six point behind Barcelona in the Spanish League standings, and if they want any chance of catching Lionel Messi and Co., they must win this weekend. Making that task tougher is the fact Atletico could be without Radamel Falcao, who is nursing an injury.
In Serie A, second-place Inter Milan faces fourth-place Lazio in what should be an exciting affair. Inter is four points behind leader Juventus and need a win against the Roman side to stay without touching distance. Lazio can pull into third place with a victory and a Napoli loss.
In England, Everton will look to continue their outstanding start to the season going with a win against a streaking Stoke City side. The Potters are unbeaten in six matches, but they face a tough test against an Everton side that has just one loss in their past 13 matches.
If you are willing to wake up very early, or stay up very late, you could watch the Club World Cup Final, where Chelsea takes on Brazilian side Corinthians in what should be an interesting encounter.

Where is the FIFA Club World Cup Coverage?
Fox soccer channel
GOL TV is still on Directv on channel 456.
I have Directv and enjoy Goltv on channel 456! We lost the HD version but I love Brazilian, Argentine, Uruguayan, and German football so it’s worth the Spanish package price!!
Lol at Uruguayan
Peñarol is one of the oldest clubs in S. America and Uruguay won the first 2 World Cups back in the 30’s. There is some rich footballing history down there. Watch a Nacional v Penarol match!
Any league that averages 4500 fans per match is prob not worth watching on tv
But yet the soccer league with the highest average attendance in the world (German Bundesliga) has now been driven off of most Comcast systems and is pretty much ignored by Fox Channel and Ives.
Curses Bein Sport Curses!
For some reason the arrival of beIN on my Comcast system has resulted in the disappearance of Gol. Soccer meda doesn’t seem interested in covering a story about one channel (backed by unlimited funds) driving another out of business though.
beIn replaced GolTV on DirecTV long ago. It sucks that GolTV is being driven out, it would have been nice to have an additional soccer channel instead of one driving the other out.
Same happened to me, but Bein is still only in Spanish
