With the international fixture window in the rearview mirror, MLS teams will look to try and get back to full strength ahead of a loaded schedule of matches this Saturday.
The New York Red Bulls will be looking for their first win of the 2013 season when they play host to a Philadelphia Union side that has never won at Red Bull Arena before. Thierry Henry is a question mark to play, but he will make every effort to get on the field and help the Red Bulls break their winless skid.
The Montreal Impact put their unbeaten record on the line when they visit Sporting Park to take on Sporting Kansas City. Matt Besler and Graham Zusi return from USMNT duty and will look to help Sporting KC break out of their slow start to the season.
Here is today’s MLS schedule:
2pm- MLS Direct Kick- Toronto FC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy
330pm- NBC Sports- New York Red Bulls vs. Philadelphia Union
4pm- MLS Direct Kick- New England Revolution vs. FC Dallas

Chivas USA!
Lol
Horrible call on Javier morales at end of RSL game. Geiger penalized him for diving and this would be good time for instant replay (I know it’s not going to happen anytime soon) He was clipped from behind but ref couldn’t tell from the behind. Still to call that a dive was just bad after he had the defender beat.
Houston Dynamo are playing some good football this season. The team is deep.
Barnes and Driver ave turned out to be very nice finds.
Joe Cannon, you forget your shorts?
That was so bad from the sounders words cannot describe. They are incredibly lucky that it was Plata and Sandoval up top for most of the game since evidently both of them do not know how to finish. If Saborio had played would have been 4 or 5
Sir Alex fears for Gspurning’s life.
Nice to see that Oldmanfeeble Martins’ first touch hasn’t improved since when he helped Newcastle get relegated.
If you think he is the reason Newcastle got relegated you know little about football. That team had a ton of issues.
Luis Gil is a special player.
Yeah yeah come on RSL. Beat the wannabe Timbers.
SJ getting physically blown off the pitch in Houston. midfield overrun…Corrales tip toeing around and Salinas with 8 boneheaded plays for ever good cross. Hopefully Yallop chews some a$$ at halftime… granted starters are out but the effort is too soft…
Wow, a penalty for the Timbers. A bit soft, but given the Rapids penalty earlier probably fair. But the Timbers got a penalty, finally.
Yeah yeah come on Colorado. Beat the wanabe Sounders. Did i see that correctly on the Comcast guide, Mexican League Soccer, Cruz Azul v Atlas @ 6 on ESPN2 ? It’s the first time i see that.
It’s a decent match. I sure would like to see Pablo Barrera play in MLS one day, but I’m sure nobody will match what Cruz Azul pays him.
Um, RSL is playing the Sounders.
I think he means that Portland are the “wannabe Sounders” in his view.
I assure you, PTFC and its fans wish to be anything BUT the flounders.
ACES.
Philly was brought back down to earth. Dallas still flying high, look out western conference.
Also, really Philly fans?
REALLY? Robles gets undercut and falls on his head and you chant the name of the player that took his legs out in the air?
Real classy bunch. Got a snow ball for Santa Clause or some vomit for a little kid?
Wow Conor Casey completely loses his cool and just wrecks Robles.
i get the impression from MLS soccer fans that the MLS season is kind of like the NBA season. It doesn’t mean a whole lot other than getting your club prepared for the post season.
Ah the difference between Henry and some scrub named Johnny Steele.
The Brazilian to the French duo is going to be deadly.
This game should have been over 30 minutes ago if Johnny Steele could hit the broad side of a barn.
STOP FREAKING MODERATING EVERY POST
Try using the same name and email for every one of your posts, and it won’t be moderated every time. It’s a pretty simple concept…
It gets you by words.
Like NYRB’s new Brazilian midfielder gets you mod’d.
Juninho might be a better ball striker and passer than Beckham.
How did LD look?? Saw he came on in the 61st minute.
Missed an easy chance almost immediately after coming on the pitch.
Like a guy who’d been training mostly with Cambodian amateurs and college players.
Juninhno might be the best player in the league at 38.
I can only imagine what someone like Juninho thinks when he watches a teammate try to pass a clearance back into the box and skies it off the pitch 20 yards or Steele being in on the edge of the box right there and instead of just hitting the shot makes an awful decision and crosses it to nobody and blows the build up.
Duuuuude — Villarreal!!!
kid is special
Watching the Galaxy game on Timewarner via firstrow, wow, their mics pick up a lot….John Bostock has a dirty, dirty mouth.
Dude — Luis Silva.
WTF Cudicini? Why oh why? You’ve got like two defenders in front of it still.
Oh and McGee for president!
In front of *you* still
It was very nice of him to gift my fantasy team 5 points.
