The latest episode of The SBI Podcast features an interview with U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Joe Corona, who spent  some time with us to discuss, among other things, the recent historic success of his club team, Mexican champion Club Tijuana.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I chat with Corona about a wide range of topics, from his experience in Copa Libertadores, to the increased interest in Mexican soccer in the United States, to his own chances of seeing a bigger role with the U.S. Men’s National Team.

Episode 15 of The SBI Podcast also takes time to discuss the CONCACAF Champions League Tournament quarterfinals, and how Major League Soccer’s three remaining teams are doing. We also look ahead to Week Two of the MLS season.

  3. Big fan of Corona here and really glad to see his stock rising and him not shying away from that. Really hoping and actually pretty confident he’ll be selected. He would be an outstanding complimentary piece to add to the mix and definitely brings elements we are in need of right now. I think the sooner he can start integrating the better. Young, w/ more growth coming, but he’s shown well in a lot of big games the last year for club in atmosphere’s similar to what can be expected coming up and always seems to bring a spark for the Nats.
