CONCACAF released the schedule for the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Champions League on Friday afternoon, giving the two Major League Soccer teams remaining a tough task at hand.

The Los Angeles Galaxy and the Seattle Sounders will both host the first legs against Monterrey and Santos Laguna, respectively, before traveling to their Mexican opponents for the second leg. The Sounders and Santos Laguna will play on April 2 and April 9, while Los Angeles and Monterrey will face off on April 3 and April 10.

An MLS side has only once earned a place in the Champions League Final in it’s current format, when Real Salt Lake lost to Monterrey in the 2010-2011 edition.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

FIRST LEG

Tuesday, April 2
Seattle Sounders vs. Santos Laguna, 10:00pm

Wednesday, April 3
Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Monterrey, 10:00pm

SECOND LEG

Tuesday, April 9
Santos Laguna vs. Seattle Sounders, 8:00pm

Wednesday, April 10
Monterrey vs. Los Angeles Galaxy, 10:00pm

  1. Curious why both mexican teams get the second leg at home? Seems like an advantage, were they seeded higher in this tourney? Just bad luck for the MLS teams?

  2. Super nervous! If landon is fit… we have a shot against the stripes. The team we have is good at home but need landon for the road game. It’s a different beast, playing in Mexico is a tough task.
