Galatasaray hope to erase a three-goal deficit when they welcome Real Madrid (2:45pm, Fox Soccer Channel) to Turk Telecom Arena in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday night.
The Turkish side will be without their leading Champions League scorer, Burak Yilmaz, but with Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba on the pitch, anything is possible. Jose Mourinho meanwhile will look to qualify for the semifinals for the third straight season with Real Madrid.
Málaga travel to north Germany with heavy hearts, as manager Manuel Pellegrini’s father passed away on Saturday. Starting defender Martin Demichelis said that the whole team is united behind Pellegrini and will do everything they can to pull out a victory against Borussia Dortmund (2:45pm, Fox Soccer Plus/MSG+).
Borussia manager Jurgen Klopp finally welcomes back Mats Hummels from an ankle injury, and Jakub BÅ‚aszczykowski is now fit as well for the German side. Last years Bundesliga champions are undefeated this season at home in Champions League matches, and with the scoreless draw in the first leg in southern Spain, the hosts will have a lot of confidence that they can reach the next round.

Victory for good and righteousness!
Wouldnt exactly put it that way, but based on talent alone the right team won
I have a soft spot for fan-owned teams, especially against Qatari emirs. And teams with such awesome young players, that are so fun to watch.
(in other words, my teams always lose…)
Agree with that. Love to watch them also. this season have become a big fan of Dortmund, a team with a payroll less than half of Real Madrid that develops young players plus a coach that puts the highly overrated Jose Mourinho to shame. Plus they play fair, among the lowest yellow and red cards in the Bundesliga. Amazing that Dortmund today had their worst game of the Champions League with bad passes and general sluggishness and a leaky, wobbly defense. But, wow, they played with heart until the bitter end. Would love to see them go against Real Madrid again with refs who do not have an agenda.
Biff, I know you’re a German League fan and that you have strong opinions. But to say Mourinho is ‘highly overrated’ and that any coach ‘puts [him] to shame’ borders on the crazy. It’s okay to say that Klopp is an exciting new, talented coach but there is no reason to make these sweeping remarks.
Fu*king wow
HAHAHAHA they deserve that win for the tifo alone.
Malaga is definitely playing like the more experienced team today though
FAIL
their time management defensive organization and and decision making from their veteran players have all been great. Dont u should u be prepping for ur SATS kid?
Haha, sorry… no offense intended. At work so i’ve just seen the highlights as FS net posted them. The timing was just hilarious.
Lol intentions clear. In that perspective that is pretty hilarious
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
What?!?!?
Well, you don’t see that every day.
Ugh this is going to be an unbearable couple of weeks from La Liga lovers. Also clearly offside on the goal for what its worth
um i spoke too soon, apoligies, goodness BVB
That’ll do it.
Malaga to the semifinals. Can we get 3 Spanish teams in the semis?
hoping for a gala goal vs madrid to make things interesting.
I think they need 2 goals to win or force a tie.
you were saying?
Malaga to semis!!!
Malaga’s outfield players owe their keeper some better play…and maybe a nice car…if they get out of this tie and advance.
on cue…goal Malaga. Just wow.
wtf is going on madrid…get it together…
That was the best chance Reus is getting. 8 yards out… you have to score there.
Just so we’re all clear about this…
Dortmund’s starting CB — Neven Subotic — should be a US National Team player except a coach publicly slandered him to the point that he switched nationalities.
Just wanted to rehash this.
Oh, and Rongen can burn in hell for what he did to the program.
You’re sugar-coating again ChiTown. You need to speak out more.
Bitter.
He cost us a player that as his career unfolds here would have been the best defender in USMNT history.
Oh I agree with you on all counts. He shouldn’t be allowed to coach U-10s in suburban Sheboygan. I just thought the burn-in-hell might be a tad over the top. 😉
Wesley Sneijder missing sitters that his team desperately needs. Where have I seen that before?
He heard you. 🙂
ARGH!! I knew this would happen.. Dortmund dominant, but didn’t score in Malaga. If they lose on away goals… ARGH!
That was utterly bizarre.
Schmelzer was booked for a wild tackle. He then went into another wild tackle a minute later and punched a Malaga player… and the Malaga player was carded.
Referee botched that pretty badly. Dortmund should be a man down.
Punch? Hahahaha no. Dive? Yes.
Did you see the malaga player kick reus in the stomach? He could have ruptured his spleen or if he timed it right he coukd have stopped his heart using dim mak. That’s crimminal!!!!!!
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!
The Dortmund coach is pretty funny. Dude might want to back off on the caffeine and red meat.
Spain reloads with players like Isco.
Starting in Champions League quarterfinals at age 20. Top 5 young AM in the world.
Reus?
No, the kid Isco for Malaga I think he meant.
Mig’s got it.
Isco is Malaga’s CAM.
Ha, no but i meant what about reus for dortmund. Definitely at the least a top 5 20 and under attacking talent, imo
Except he is 23. Maybe you had him confused with Gotze?
sigh. yeah.
Goal Malaga!
Dortmund now need at least 2 goals to advance.
Not true. Another Dortmund goal makes it 2-1 on aggregate and away goals won’t come into play
Sorry. Wasn’t aware of the timing of your post. Please disregard
It’s all good.
Gooch make the bench for malaga? This la liga vet is starting in place of wellington it would quite the insult to not even have him on the bech considering he helped them through the group stages
Nope. No sign on Gooch. Not a shock (IMO)
Well, that’s the end of this match. Dortmund Malaga here we come.
Madrid already up 1-0!
Stu Holden not dressed for Sheffield Wednesday today.
I noticed that. Hopefully not a step back.
Resting him.
His fitness cannot be very good at this point.
Indeed. Similar to last week where he played over the weekend and sat mid-week. Nice for Sheffield to have several pairs of fresh legs down the relegation-battle stretch.
