All eyes will be on Wembley Stadium this weekend, when Manchester City and Chelsea clash in a huge FA Cup semifinal match.
Both clubs will be looking to make amends for an unfulfilling league campaign by reaching this season’s FA Cup final.
Chelsea overcame a two-goal deficit in their quarterfinal match against Manchester United to force a replay, which they won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier this month. Demba Ba’s goal that day put Chelsea into the semis, where they will meet a Manchester City team coming off of their own victory against rivals Manchester United.
Roberto Mancini’s squad defeated their crosstown rivals, 2-1, on Monday, but a minor injury to David Silva numbed the victory a bit, and the acclaimed Spaniard is a doubt for the match against Chelsea.
The Italian league has a high-profile match of its own this weekend, with AC Milan hosting Napoli on Sunday afternoon.
Napoli have won their last three matches in the league, and with Edinson Cavani and Blerim Dzemaili on blazing goalscoring form, having scored eight of the clubs’ ten goals during their three-match win streak, Milan will have a tough time slowing the Azzurri’s attack down.
In Spain, both Barcelona and Real Madrid will be in action on Sunday afternoon.
League-leaders Barcelona will visit Real Zaragoza, who haven’t won a league-match since December, and are locked in a tight relegation battle at the bottom of the table. Real Madrid will also be on the road, kicking off just two hours after Barça at the San Mamés. Athletic Bilbao will be hoping to fare better than the first time they met Los Blancos this season, a fixture that saw Madrid win easily 5-1.

Biggest match of the weekend and not a mention? Cmon Ives!! Sunday 10:30 AM, PSV v Ajax!! ESPN3 or ESPN Deportes
Glad to see NBC Sports pick up an extra game when ESPN doesn’t broadcast one.
Dallas-LA should be a great game and watching Portland at home is always fun.
Do I get UniMas ? What the heck is UniMas ?
Univision rebranded I think
it’s telefutura rebranded after Univision bought them out.
No Newcastle/mackems derby on regular ESPN broadcast channels – boo on ESPN! And maybe they should put the Cruz Azul/Club Tijuana match on ESPN Deportes where it belongs.
Why does Tijunana/Azul belong on ESPN Deportes, instead of ESPN2 but Newcastle vs unknown belong on ESPN ?
Fail to understand that.
Tijuana, a team known for it’s American players that is also doing well in Copa Libertadores, is fighting to keep playoff spot vs one of Mexico’s most popular teams. And you are worried about some unknown derby? THIS right here ladies and gentlemen is why fans look dumb every year when it comes to understanding why we have not won a CCL and why we fail to truly apreciate the competition in our region. Fans that may be really into the Euro teams, know players and managers of UCL teams but don’t get the teams in their own backyard. No one complains about La Liga games in English And now people have a chance to finally see select Liga MX games in English and there should really be no excuse to not catching at least a couple of games.
Delayed telecast of Everton QPR is also on FSC at noon.
