SBI MLS Player of the Week: Marco Di Vaio

The Montreal Impact put on an attacking show on Saturday vs. the Philadelphia Union and once again it was Marco Di Vaio at the forefront of the assault.

The Italian striker scored a first-half hat-trick to help the Impact pull off a 5-3 rout over the Union. The victory helped move Montreal closer to the top of the Eastern Conference, and the performance helped earn DiViao SBI MLS Player of the Week honors.

Di Vaio’s outing helped keep Montreal atop the Eastern Conference in terms of points per game, and it also helped him beat out fellow first-half hat-trick scorer Robbie Keane for this week’s SBI MLS Player of the Week honors.

  2. I really surprise by him, I had 8 goals this season, so far he improve way wrong. This shows some DPs need time gel with their teams, it might an extra season to do so.
