Sporting Kansas City returns to the house of horrors known as BBVA Compass Stadium to take on rival Houston Dynamo in a clash of Eastern Conference powers.

Today’s MLS schedule features two games, including the weekend’s most anticipated clash, between Sporting KC and the Dynamo. Sporting enters off a heart-wrenching, last-minute loss to the Seattle Sounders, while the Dynamo come in off consecutive victories against the Los Angeles Galaxy and D.C. United.

Today’s other MLS match sees the Portland Timbers return home to Jeld-Wen Field to take on Chivas USA. The Timbers enter the match as heavy favorites, on the strength of an eight-match unbeaten streak. Chivas USA takes the field without suspended star goalkeeper Dan Kennedy and rookie Carlos Alvarez.

  1. These ball boys need to learn to give up the balls when grown men coming for them. These ball boys shouldn’t try to play keep away from players. When the chivas player reached for ball the teen pulled the ball away. That’s why they get yelled at, shoved, and kicked.

Not condoning the chivas player reaction, but someone needs to remind these volunteers or employees to not interfer.

      • Yes, the ball was portlands. my point is that these kids shouldnt intefer. Just give up the ball so nothing happens to them. That’s why we got refs. They decide who has the ball not some ball boy. Again not condoning his actions which are obviously wrong.

    • Maybe these GROWN MEN need to not act like brats and push children. Especially when the throw in was for Portland not Chivas in the first place. I honestly don’t think you could be more wrong about the situation.
