The Houston Dynamo won their first road match of the season on Sunday night, defeating the Los Angeles Galaxy, 1-0, at the Home Depot Center, earning them SBI MLS Team of the Week honors.
The Dynamo were without captain Brad Davis due to a one-match suspension for a red card but the visitors didn’t miss him too badly as they shut down Landon Donovan and the Galaxy. Tally Hall saved a Donovan penalty kick and Dynamo midfielder Andrew Driver scored the game’s lone goal in the 56th minute.
The win puts the Dynamo in a four-way tie for first place in the Eastern Conference at 17 points, along with the New York Red Bulls, Sporting Kansas City, and Montreal Impact. Dominic Kinnear’s side beat out Sporting KC, Real Salt Lake, and the New York Red Bulls for this week’s honor.
What did you make of Houston’s performance against the Galaxy? Which MLS team impressed you the most during Week Ten?

Those young lions that Kinnear brought in from Great Britain bring quite a bit of firepower to the attack.
I only got to see the highlights of both games, but based on those KC looked much stronger to me. Houston was fairly fortunate not to have given up a couple of goals (most especially the PK).
A local twitter feed posted a fake consumer protection notice warning of a Landon Bobblehead choking hazard.
The team playing at home against Chivas looked stronger than the one playing away against the champions? Good to know.
10-man Chivas
Didnt see the Dynamo match, but I was very impressed with KC on Sunday
You probably didn’t see it because they showed it at an ungodly hour 🙁
I for one can admit I didn’t watch them because of that. Hard not to choose a 4-0 winner as TotW but I’ll take his word for it.
