The team with the best record in MLS takes on the team with the worst record as FC Dallas play host to D.C. United tonight in one of the day’s more intriguing match-ups.

The biggest mismatch of today’s seven matches will be worth watching to see if D.C. United can put a halt to their terrible run of form, while FC Dallas will look to extend their lead atop the Eastern Conference.

The Seattle Sounders take on the San Jose Earthquakes in a clash of Western Conference powers. The Sounders are unbeaten in four and looking more like the team we expected them to be before their awful start to the season. San Jose has endured injuries and suspensions to get off to a somewhat disappointing start to the season, but they have started to heat up lately and will present a tough challenge at CenturyLink Field.

The day kicks off in the Chicago suburb or Bridgeview, where the Fire play host to the Philadelphia Union. Bakary Soumare gets his first start of the season and will face his former club, the same team that has been trying to acquire him via trade.

  1. If LD gets called to the men’s national team is not because he is playing GOOD, is going to be because he is not playing BAD.

  2. Childish late trip from Wondo, clearly put his foot out on purpose. Then a childish response from EJ that gets them both yellows

  3. MLS players need to learn to let the goalscorer celebrate instead of always tackling him. It happens nearly every goal in MLS and it bugs me every time.

  4. Brian Dunseth is the worst. He should just record “I have no idea how that’s not a foul/card” and replay it every 5 minutes.

  5. I know it’s bad but I’m a fire fan and I’m rooting against for us to lose. The worse our record the better the chance we’ll fire klopas and blow up this team. We aren’t going to win anything with the squad we’ve got. It’s getting freaking annoying watching this team week after week missing chances and giving up soft goals.

    • Blame should be placed on the owner. Ignore his lip service; based on his actions, he’s a know-nothing cheap-skate!

    • All but one or two teams in Denmark and Belgium are for mid-career guys who want to play in Europe (and maybe want a big payday) but can’t make the leap to one of the top leagues. Still a few years before Jack Mac’s in that boat — and hopefully, he never will be.
