SBI MLS Goal of the Week: Thierry Henry

A full week of MLS action in it’s 11th week of the season lead to numerous goal of the week candidates, but one stands out above the others.

New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry scored on an audacious bicycle kick to earn this week’s honor of SBI MLS Goal of the Week. Off a corner kick in the 88th minute, Henry sent home a goal past a helpless Troy Perkins to defeat the Montreal Impact to go top of the Eastern Conference.

Honorable mention for this week’s award goes to Seattle Sounders midfielder Mauro Rosales (vs. San Jose Earthquakes), Portland Timbers midfielder Will Johnson (vs. Chivas USA), and Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Russel Teibert (vs. LA Galaxy).

    I also love the Impact defender who looks like he’s trying to punch it out off the line (last replay)
