NASL Week 12: A Look Ahead

With the race to host the 2013 Soccer Bowl now down to five teams, Week 12 of the North American Soccer League will bring considerable nail-biting action.

It’s the clash of the second and third-place teams when the Carolina RailHawks host Minnesota United on Saturday evening at WakeMed Soccer Park. The clubs last met in May, settling for a 2-2 draw at the Metrodome, with United forward Etienne Barbara bagging a brace for the home side.

The Atlanta Silverbacks can inch closer to hosting the Soccer Bowl when they host the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The Silverbacks sit first place in the NASL table with 17 points, just a few points ahead of the RailHawks and United.

FC Edmonton visit Toyota Field this Saturday to take on the San Antonio Scorpions. The Eddies held the RailHawks to a 1-1 draw last week at Clark Stadium, following the Scorpions picking up a pivotal 2-1 road victory at Al Lang Field against the Rowdies.
