  1. Well that’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back. Embarrassing and boring. I guess when the team is picked by ballot box stuffing, you can’t expect much else

  2. Haha, Garber asked Totti to lift the trophy over his head and Totti was too embarrassed to do it. A giant trophy for a one game exhibition between an all-star team and a team in preseason training is a bit much.

  3. That’s kind of sad…

You can see all of the Roma defenders just stop and let Gonzalez go up for a free header to not let MLS get blanked.

Pretty clear they had PR on the mind there.

  4. WHAT

    THE

    F(*&(*

    IS

    ALEXI LALAS DOING?!?!?

There is no way in h#ll that was in any way sanctioned by ESPN or MLS. Wow that guy is an absolute clown.

    • Isn’t asking tough questions not sanctioned by the league or by TV something he should be applauded for? For once, I was actually very impressed with Lalas.

      • Then your’re an idiot.

There’s a forum for “tough questions.” This wasn’t it. That was extremely awkward and if Alexi Lalas had half a brain he would already know the answers.

What did he think he’d get the commissioner during their major celebratory event with a major European club as invited guests and mar the entire event?

Legally the commissioner can’t say anything since it’s active litigation. And furthermore the commissioner isn’t going to just come out and say “yes MLS was party to violations of the civil rights act” on live air during the All-Star event which is about the fans and players.

But being a selfish, ignorant idiot who ignores the responsibilities of his job and obligation to the event is generally his M.O.

  5. Kreis is getting more and more pissed by the minute as Vermes refuses to sub Beckerman out even though he subbed his owm player, Zusi, out quickly. Class act is that Vermes (not).

  6. Zusi is subbed out with injured quad. Hope nothing serious. Noticed that he seems to be intimidated by Euro competition. His body language not nearly as confident as when he plays against CONCACAF and MLS opposition.

    • He isn’t euro caliber what do you expect. Really loving MB90 and Collin is getting man handled as is Ashe.

      • Yea, I’ve stopped posting questions or comments in the “Live Commentary” entirely.

I’m more likely to get a response yelling at the TV than posting in the commentary “Ask a Question”.

  7. ESPN announcers speculating that Bradley’s playing time is in jeopardy with Roma’s new signings. That’s news to me, I thought he was in a good spot. Anyone know anything more than me about Roma’s midfield depth chart?

    • He’ll be fine. Strootman and Pjanic are quality players, but, with De Rossi most likely on his way out, Bradley will start with Strootman in 2 of the 3 central midfield spots. Bradley is a better box to box mid than Pjanic, much better defending and can circulate the ball better. Strootman will be allowed to get forward more which will help them offensively.

    • Strootman definitely a starter in Garcia’s 4-3-3, most projections have DeRossi playing in the hole, Strootman more box-to-box, and Pjanic in a more attacking role. That would leave Bradley the odd man out. But he’s proven flexible enough to play in each midfield role, and aside from Florenzi and Marquinho (rumored to be headed to Inter) there isn’t much quality depth at Roma so Bradley still has a good shot to get some solid PT. DeRossi looking increasingly likely to stay as of late, but of course he were to leave that changes everything.
