The red-hot Vancouver Whitecaps thought they had picked the right time to come visit the StubHub Center and play the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Turns out, they were wrong.
Thanks to the efforts of youngsters Jose Villarreal and Gyasi Zardes, the Galaxy defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps, 2-1, despite not having Landon Donovan or Robbie Keane available for the match. The performance by the Galaxy has earned them SBI MLS Team of the Week.
The Galaxy beat out the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, and Sporting Kansas City for this week’s honors.
What did you think of the Galaxy’s performance? Which team impressed you in MLS Week 21?

Seems to me that a road win over Salt Lake is more impressive than a home win over Vancouver, but I’m admittedly biased.
Any other week, sure. But LA was missing Keane, Donovan, and Rogers and still won due to two goals by homegrown talent. SKC beat a RSL team that was missing Rimando, Beckerman, and Beltran.
Any idea where Rogers was? I didn’t hear about an injury or anything.

Hamstring injury, according to Adam Serrano
Zardes has more raw skill – and I really emphasize raw – than any other young forward in the league. He’s got an exciting future ahead of him.
