Soccer fans will get a taste of the upcoming season’s action this weekend, when preseason European club-friendlies mix with Major League Soccer, Liga MX and the Brazilian Série A to deliver a plethora of matches to your living room.

AS Monaco host Tottenham Hotspur early Saturday afternoon in their last preseason match before the French Ligue 1 commences next weekend, but all attention will be on Gareth Bale and whether or not his participation in the match, or lack thereof, will hint towards him either staying or leaving.

Later Saturday evening, Everton will clash with Real Madrid in a second round meeting in the Guinness International Champions Cup. Everton were able to get past Juventus in a penalty shootout on Wednesday, but now Roberto Martinez and his men have the tough task of trying to defeat Cristiano and co.

On Sunday, Guadalajara will face Atlante in a showdown between two of Liga MX’s bottom-dwelling teams. Both clubs will be looking to shoot up the table with their first three points of this season’s Apertura.

  1. The Liverpool/Olympiacos game is on beIN sport at 8:30pm ET (or thereabouts) on Sat according to my cable guide.

  2. The Everton v. Real Madrid game I believe is on the main Fox channel. And the other ICC games are on Fox soccer of course.
