The MLS playoffs are still two weeks away, but this weekend’s MLS schedule has a definite playoff field as all nine match-ups have playoff implications.

Episode 81 of The SBI Show takes a look at all of the weekend’s top MLS action, including Real Salt Lake’s visit to Portland,  Philadelphia’s clash vs. Montreal, and more.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also discuss the U.S. Men’s National Team, and the projected World Cup roster now that World Cup qualifying is over. We also discuss the mess that is the Mexican National Team.

  1. Just wanted to make them aware. Don’t want popularity to drop because some mother or father bans their kid from listening. As PG as they try to make the word filter it didn’t seem like they wanted that kind of language in their productions.

  2. Hey Ives, just a thought, in the article previewing the show you should write the credits of the intro song you’re playing that week.

  3. As far as seeding goes there is no question FIFA’s rankings don’t completely capture reality. But I don’t also see why historical dominance should automatically trump current form to gain a seed. If anything just improve the ranking formula.
