As we draw closer to the MLS playoffs, the games get bigger and bigger and race gets tighter and tighter, and Week 33 is no different with a loaded slate of important matches.

Episode 77 of The SBI Show features a closer look at all of the weekend’s action, including key tilts between Colorado and Seattle, Houston Montreal, and New York and New England.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also discuss the U.S. Men’s National Team’s roster heading into next week’s World Cup qualifiers. We look at some of the injury concerns and discuss likely options for Jurgen Klinsmann.

  1. Ives and G, you need to mix up the show a bit.. get some guests (not just players but guest journalists too would be cool), some new formats, cover the other content that is on the website but not mentioned on the show..

    • I don’t know about a format change, but other guest journalists would be cool here and there. They still have to work out the logistics of when the show is recorded…

  2. So far this year I’ve kind of shrugged the whole “Seattle is without Clint Dempsey this match.” Seattle began their rise before they picked up Deuce, and it seems to me like they’ve never really HAD Clint play for them, if you catch my meaning. Hasn’t had too much of an impact. Form or injury or w/e. So far they’ve done well. So when he DOES start contributing they’ll just be that much better.
