Following a break last week for the FIFA international dates, Liga MX resumes with the first of the final four weeks of the Apertura campaign, featuring a rematch from the Clausura playoffs finals.

It’s the first meeting between Cruz Azul and Club America, who are both having strong fall seasons and the two Mexico City clubs should provide a stellar match to watch on Saturday evening at Estadio Azul. The last time these two teams met in the Clausura Liguilla Final, America won in penalty kicks after scoring two late goals to tie the match on aggregate in regulation time. An added storyline to the match is that this game could be the final in charge of Miguel Herrera if the reports that he’s taking over the El Tri post are true.

Elsewhere in Liga MX, Club Tijuana look to jump into the top eight when they visit Toluca, Santos Laguna host the struggling Monterrey, and Queretaro host second-placed Club Leon.
