In a crucial match that had not only playoffs implications but also the all-important Cascadia Cup title in the balance, Camilo Sanvezzo did everything he could to help lift the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Brazilian midfielder scored two goals including a spectacular scissor-kick goal to tie the game a second time, just a couple minutes after scoring on a free kick to level the scoreline, which ended in a 2-2 tie with the Portland Timbers. Camilo’s brilliant performance on Sunday earned him SBI MLS Player of the Week honors.

Camilo beat out Landon Donovan, Tim Cahill, Ricardo Clark, and Sean Johnson for this week’s honors.
