Americans Abroad: Weekend Preview

Tim Howard and Geoff Cameron are normally working together to keep U.S. Men’s National Team opponents off the scoreboard, but on Saturday it will be Cameron hoping to find a way to get goals past Howard when Stoke City takes on Everton in one of the weekend’s featured matchups for Americans Abroad.

Brad Guzan and Jozy Altidore will also be squaring off on a weekend that will see several American vs. American matchups. Guzan’s Aston Villa will look to keep Sunderland in last place in the Premier League, while also keeping Altidore from scoring his first Premier League goal for the Black Cats.

Aron Johannsson will look to keep his torrid scoring pace going in the Dutch League as he and AZ Alkmaar take on last-place NEC Breda in a match that could offer Johannsson plenty of opportunities to add to his total of 10 league goals on the season.

    • Today was one of his best performances for Reading. He’s an original Klinsmann favorite. I can see him getting a shot at the RB position, which is ironic given Lichaj’s consistency at Forest.
