College Soccer Weekend Rewind

Washington now has the inside track to the Pac-12 Championship after defeating California, 2-1, on Sunday. Both teams won games on Friday to start the weekend.

UC-Santa Barbara finished the regular season as the top team in the Big West after a 2-0 win over Cal Poly in front of 12,805 fans. The match set the high mark for attendance of any NCAA soccer match this season.

Louisville was upset in the American Athletic Conference tournament 1-0 by Rutgers. Elon and Furman both won to move to the Southern Conference semifinals. Elon gets Georgia Southern, while Furman will play top-seeded Wofford.

Maryland and Notre Dame both won on Friday to earn a share of the ACC regular season crown. Georgetown also clinched the regular season Big East championship, Coastal Carolina sealed the Big South title, New Mexico finished atop Conference USA and Akron won the MAC championship for the ninth straight season.

  1. The ACC tournament is going to be fantastic this year. Maryland, Notre Dame, and Wake are all legit contenders plus you can never discount UVA or UNC. Maryland winning its last ACC tournament would be a great farewell to the ACC. Go Maryland!

      Very, very cool. I can’t believe more teams don’t have that.

      He threw it 50+ yards one throw.
