The NCAA Tournament field will be whittled down from 48 to 32 today as the first round of the tournament kicks off across the country.
Defending national champion Indiana headlines the marquee matchup of the first round, taking on Akron in a highly-anticipated clash featuring plenty of pro prospects. The Hoosiers are rolling after overcoming a losing regular season record to win the Big 10 Tournament. They face a Zips squad that is riding a 10-match unbeaten streak heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Other top matches to watch tonight include Wisconsin taking on Milwaukee in a tightly-contested match between rivals who played to a 1-1 draw during the regular season. William & Mary take on George Mason in a clash of Atlantic Coast squads. North Carolina takes on South Florida in another intriguing matchup, while VCU and Navy meet in another interesting matchup.
