The stage is set for the 2013 MLS Cup Final after Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake booked their places with impressive victories in the MLS conference finals.

Episode 93 of The SBI Show takes a look back at both conference finals, as we discuss the key figures and moments from the matches at Sporting Park and Jeld-Wen Field.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I break those matches down, and also give our early predictions for the MLS Cup Final. We also discuss the latest with Eddie Johnson, and David Ferreira’s departure from FC Dallas, and more.

What did you think of the show? Like the shorter show format, or would you rather us always have the hour-long variety?

  1. Thanks for the show, guys. Y’all already know I like the long episodes more, however, if you need to make them short to reach the 100 Episode mark for the MLS Cup final, it’s cool with me. I hope your schedules won’t get in the way of that, because I’ve been looking forward to celebrating that milestone with you and the other fans of your work…

  2. I prefer shows in the 45-60 minute range. This one was too short, but did have lots of info. I also agree with Brett that if you don’t make it to 100 shows by MLS Cup Final day your listeners will understand.

  3. You guys do know that you don’t have to make 100 shows just to make 100 shows. You have a great show and if you don’t make it to100 for the party I am sure that it will still be a great party and your listeners will understand. Don’t let your product suffer because of an arbitrary number (I do understand that 100 is a cool number). Ives sounds exhausted, you need to be alive to enjoy the party.
