  1. This changes nothing, Joel. You still rank up there with Ruiz, Marquez, and Frings as cartoon villains for any self-respecting USMNT fan.

    • Oh god shut up. I dont hear you calling for some sort of punishment for all the dives dempsey, altidore, amd jones have done in the past. Stop being so butthurt

      • I agree the dive ended up not mattering as the US beat Mexico with ease and finished on top of the Hex. I still don’t understand what Campbell thought he was giving out of the dive, perhaps just wasting time.

      • Capmbells dive was the ultimate disgraceful act. it was not part of a play, or the result of contact. It doesn’t just hurt US fans, it hurts the sport. Campbell is a first class Jacka$$ in my book.

      • A dive is a dive and this one is not different than the ones Clint Dempsey takes every game.

Obviously at only 21 not only is Campbell better player than Dempsey he’s also a better diver. Something Clint has been working on for over a decade.

      • Players all over the field, no where near the action should just start falling down rolling around. Then sit up to see if the ref is looking then go back to rolling around. Campbell has revolutionized the art of diving. A true innovator of the game.

      • Embellishing is one thing and what Campbell did is completely an other. By the way Cameron or Chandler, if healthy, is going to school your boy Ronaldo.

      • Yeah he is! Barcelona should sign cameron and chandler! Then madrid and ronaldo will be totally shut down! And barca will win the league!

  2. Somebody send the tape to Klinsy, here is someone else from CONCACAF playing at the “highest level”.

Sarcasm aside, nice cut and bender though.

    • But really though, this kid–antics and character aside–is the exact type of player Klinsmann has talked about.

Took a chance, went to Arsenal. Has played on loan at Lorient, Real Betis, and now broke into the starting lineup at Olympiakos.

Watch the confidence he plays with. Every time he touched the ball he was at the defender, pushing the ball up field, taking players on with an arrogance you want in your players.
