There is no shortage of soccer to be watched on Tuesday, as there are a bevy of interesting matches that begin in the afternoon and run all the way through the evening.

U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper Brad Guzan is involved in one of those games, as he looks to help Aston Villa knock off Cardiff City. The Villans have lost their last two matches, so they are in need of three points on the road vs. Cardiff in order to avoid falling closer to the drop zone.

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are also set to square off in the second leg of their Copa Del Rey semifinals series, but that is not all the action. There are also several Copa Libertadores matches on tap, including Botafogo-San Lorenzo, Santos Laguna-Arsenal and Universitario-Velez Sarsfield.

If you will be watching any of today’s games, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions, and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

  1. honestly what do you guys want?

the USMNT being a top 10 consistent nation capable of reaching quarter-finals/semi finals of the next few World Cups or having MLS be a top 10 soccer league?

cause they are both achievable. MLS is decades away from being a league comparable to the Bundesliga or Premier League. USMNT is more likely to reach the semi’s before that. but how when Yanks rather play in MLS than venture abroad and work and fight out for that spot ala Dempsey?

  2. This Cardiff Aston Villa game is surprisingly entertaining. I looked at all of the BPL games today and said to myself “Any Americans?” and settled on this one.

Cardiff hit the woodwork twice on consecutive shots… one a nice save by Guzan the other a deflection.
