Michael Bradley makes his return to Major League Soccer while the rest of the league gets its first glimpse at the new-look Toronto FC in today’s MLS Week 2 action.
TFC travels to Seattle to take on a Sounders side coming off an opening-week victory. Clint Dempsey will look to get things rolling after coming off the bench last week.
At Red Bull Arena, the New York Red Bulls bring Thierry Henry and Jamison Olave off the bench as the reigning Supporters Shield winners take the field with a full-strength side for the first time when they meet the Colorado Rapids today (4pm).
SBI will be providing live commentary on all of today’s action so please feel free to follow all the MLS action here. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Today’s live commentary is after the jump):
San Jose – RSL was an awesome game. 39 shots, 18 of that on target and some good goals. This season started off very well in the league
i see no one stayed up to watch but the RSL vs SJ game was a fun one to watch. i guess the Goonies really never say die…. RSL has some good strikers in Saborio and Plata, should be fun to watch them all season. RSL vs LAG next week, should be good.
side note, im curious to see how the season plays out for TFC, defoe hasn’t lost his scoring form, should be another fun team to watch.
RSL, LAG, TFC, SEA will be the main teams i look to see this season. hoping DCU can get something goin as well
I’ve really enjoyed watching RSL this season. Between their game against LA and this game I think they have been the most entertaining side so far.
We’ll see what Vancouver brings tomorrow.
How can we possibly be talking about Dempsey when the barn burner that is Sporting Kansas City vs FC Dallas is unfolding before our eyes!?
There was soooo much nothing happening. Then a CB gets a header. =(
Haha I love the overreaction. Has anybody actually played the game at a high level?? A little nut tap and some sh!t talking is nothing but now thats classless? haha i wish we had more players not afraid to scrap it up. Without Dempsey’s goals the USMNT doesn’t even qualify.
He should retire? hahaha yeah lets fault the guy who grew up with no money for setting his family up for life.
Maybe you should stick to your favorite game, American football. Or better yet, bring back the Colosseum
Or Hockey? Or Baseball? Or any other contact sport? Maybe you should stick to tennis
Well when he gets sent off this summer for doing something dumb like that, I wonder if you’ll have the same response
I am only asking the question because he committed a clear banning foul, he did it intentionally and walked away without a glance.
It appears to me that Clint is very angry about something. This is a change in his playing temperament, and he is the Captain of the USMNT, the highest scoring American in the Preemie, and so weiter.
so forth
Oh my, secret German! Must be Klinsmann That guy in the other thread confused you huh.
LOL, yeah, I slipped up Increase0. Aber bin ich nicht klinsi.
Dempsey talk is trending like Bengazi
Question please. Does anyone know if Dempsey has committed a banning foul like this before? Has he ever made a foul where he was banned for some matches?
Not that I can think of…. I have never seen him hit someone before.
Didn’t Dempsey get into it with Dallas last season?
Hmm, I think Dallas was his first game in the MLS? or something like that. I can’t remember.
not like it’s all the time, but he’s good for a cheap shot every couple years. check his wikipedia page for a roundup.
I know this isn’t an MLS comment but Alejandro Guido getting his first start of liga MX along with Castillo, Gomez and Paul Arriola. Arce jr is also on the bench who was born in San Diego.
Lets face it, do we really trust MLS to do anything to Dempsey?
Not sure they get a choice. It was replayed a half dozen times AND Toronto FC’s official social media posted about it.
The outcry from teams and fans if Dempsey suits up next game would be deafening.
I`m German and I was watching the Sounders vs Toronto FC match here in Germany on German TV tonight. I really enjoyed it. Hope to see more exciting MLS matches this season!
Viva MLS!
Echt?
Wo wohnst du in Deutschland Daniel?
Niederbayern
Awesome!
