Coy Craft continues to make a name for himself with the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team.

The 16-year-old FC Dallas product scored one goal and assisted on another as the U-18s beat Canada, 2-1, in a friendly match at the U.S. National Training Center on Tuesday night in Carson, Calif.

Fresh off becoming the latest Real Salt Lake homegrown signing, U.S. U-18 defender Justen Glad put the U.S. on the board in the 23rd minute. A corner kick from David Chavez was flicked on by Craft to the back post, where Glad headed home.

In the 58th minute, the U.S. added their second when midfielder Jorge Ruiz slid a through ball to Craft that he calmly slotted past Canada goalkeeper Marvis Kreitling. Canada cut the deficit in half in the 80th minute through Emmanuel Zambazis but the U.S. held on for the victory.

The U.S. next face Mexico on Saturday before preparing for the Lisbon International Tournament at the end of May.
