SBI MLS Goal of the Week: Sebastian Fernandez

I have to say — that was an outrageously poor decision and touch by Saborio in that part of the field at that stage of the game, etc; can’t believe he wasn’t using his body to shield the ball / play it wide. Also, Rimando *had* to be screened on that play to not save that shot. Very weird goal of the week — given the circumstances in the game, I get it but a bit of an odd duck nonetheless.

Seems to me it wasn’t the goal of the week. Rimando should have had that one. My preference would have been the Earthquakes Djalo.

When I watched the replay from the opposite end of the field, I was amazed at how late Rimando moved on the ball. I agree screened seems to be the only plausible reason for this one.
