A trio of key Eastern Conference clashes kick off the day’s proceedings as MLS Week Seven features a full slate of nine matches on the day before Easter.
The Philadelphia Union and Houston Dynamo are two teams struggling as they face off at PPL Park. Both teams got off to promising starts to the season, but they each have slumped since and will be desperate for a win today.
Familiar foes Chicago and New England also start things off early at Toyota Park, with Quincy Amarikwa and Mike Magee looking to do damage against the Revs’ Jose Goncalves-less defense.
A pair of intriguing Western Conference clashes kick off later today, with the LA Galaxy visiting the Vancouver Whitecaps, and RSL playing host to the winless Portland Timbers.

Rimando > Guzan….I would like to see him as the backup heading into Brasil
He’ll be Guzan’s backup in Brazil, all right. Which makes sense.
Dempsey Gets fouled twice back to back. No call. Terrible Reffing. 2nd foul wasn’t even subtle.
If that was a Pen, I wouldn’t argue. He clearly pulled up and waited for it but still you can’t run into people like that.
MLS Live has been a huge disappointment and waste of money. For this much, I want greater than Netflix quality. Can’t even keep the service up.
MLS Live crashed for anyone else?
The Columbus Crew have a serious problem with dangerous play coming from their players.
Wow that was a filthy tackle on Kitchen. Definitely deserved the red.
Eddie Johnson is a joke. Selfish pr*ck.
I take it he wasted a good change on goal when he should have passed? Do tell.
Lazy runs or no runs, poor passing.
He was just subbed after 76 minutes… DP being subbed off.
Could have been a red on Gonzalez tho, he had him beat
Oh that was definitely a red card too. Really poor refereeing.
I’m sorta pro Eddie going to the WC because he can get so big in the air but… I really don’t know if we want a guy like him in the locker room. I mean… is it worth it over Wondo?
He isn’t scoring but you take away that outlet away DC has no way to relieve pressure. DC is better with him on the field, mistake taking him out.
Some of the Passing in the Dallas/Toronto game is terrible. There have been multiple passes just straight to the feet of a the other team. Both sides guilty of poor passing.
Why didn’t Thomas get a yellow… He wasn’t gunna get that… It was just to rough up the keeper.
Salinas and Gordon displaying why SJ is seen as such a class act around the league…
…and Jahn helping out considerably.
And the first MLS coach fired this season is…………… ?
Olsen. He shoulda been fired lsst yr.
You mean the Olsen who is on a three match unbeaten streak? And has more wins than six other teams? Unless he loses the locker room, he’s got the season.
I hate the fire, I mean I really hate the fire.
MLS Parity: It’s FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTASTIC!
Is it too early to bring Quincy Amarikwa into the conversation? Amarikwa is in blistering form
Who is the color guy in this chicago v NE game? hes awful. That wasn’t a well taken penalty at all, it was nearly saved. Also thought the call was soft, very little contact and officials have been told that feet tangling up shouldnt be a foul.
Well aren’t you just full of unsolicited criticism.
Unsolicited? Hes on a national broadcast, I’d expect a bit better is all.
Robiee Russell. He is very unpolished yes. When they show him, he is looking at the sky and not the camera when he speaks. Very odd.
Why is it that NBC always has the color guy on the field for MLS? It’s cool that they can give a little insight about what’s happening on the bench but there it really loses the conversational aspect of being together in the box.
