The official 2014 World Cup song is here.

Pop stars Pitbull and JLo and Brazilian musical artist Claudia Leitte released their collaborative track for this summer’s tournament on Tuesday, and it is titled “We Are One (Ole Ola).” Pitbull can be heard through the majority of the tune, but JLo and Leitte do have verses of their own.

In addition, FIFA revealed the official World Cup album tracklist on Tuesday. It features songs from Shakira, Ricky Martin, Avicii and more.

The video for the official World Cup track has not yet been released, but is expected to drop shortly. It was filmed in South Florida earlier this year.

“We Are One (Ole Ola)” comes out just a couple weeks after Shakira dropped her World Cup-inspired “La La La” track.

What do you think of the song? Is it getting you pumped up for the World Cup in Brazil or are you a bit disappointed? Like Shakira’s track better?

  5. I couldn’t even finish listening to this HORRIBLE song, and I don’t mind Pitbull. This is a terrible song, and FIFA should be ashamed to associate with it.

  6. The should have just repurposed Skank’s “Futebol” song, seeing as how it is, you know, a popular upbeat song about soccer by a popular upbeat Brasilian band that was in a prior version of the FIFA video game. I’m not sure what the Pitbull thing was supposed to be. If you want to mix up Brasilian music with something else for some reason, go buy the Black Eyed Peas/Sergio Mendes album. Or better yet, Sinatra and Jobim.

  7. The last good World Cup song was Ricky Martin’s “Copa de la Vida.” Screw all this namby-pamby, feel-good unity crap. Give me drums, horns, and lyrics about how we’re the best and we’re here to crush some other person/nation’s dreams for bragging rights and a very ugly trophy.

  9. Guys, let’s give Pitbull some credit here.. it’s hard when you are Cuban-American and don’t have money like Seacrest

    • I know he is Cuban American, but those friggin glasses really do make him look bizarrely similar to an elderly Jewish man. Which is a decent look, in my book.

      • The polyester suits with slacks pulled up to the tits really complete the Uncle Sheldon from Boca effect.

  10. If I recall the UEFA Euro Championship 2012 song was pretty good.

No one likes Pitbull. He is like the Latino Nickelback

  11. MLS needs their own theme song besides playing the FIFA song when the players come out. That would help the league grow even more, imagine espn or fs1 playing MLS song when they show MLS highlights.
Another thing that I don’t hate or love, is playing the US national anthem, when MLS is full of different nationalities. MLS needs to change that ASAP, it’s not college or high school sports, it’s the worlds sport, futbol, football, soccer.
Get it straight MLS, let’s not Americanize everything like if it’s the 1900s.
Get a MLS theme song and stop playing the US national anthem please, save it for MLS cup. Oh and get a new MLS logo 🙂

  13. Pitbull is not my cup of tea. But lets face it a lot ppl like him. Hes got intl appeal so I see why he would be selected to do this. This song is OK. There have been better WC songs IMO.

The whistling at the end reminds of Diplos Peter Bhjorn & John remix.

  14. I am praying for a redo on this selection. I will use the same prayer that I have been using for Qatar and Russian WCups to go to England and USA. I doubt they will work, and when they don’t it will only reinforce my concern that a benevolent God does not exist.

  15. That was absolutely awful. At least Shakira’s South Africa song from four years ago got you excited. This is equivalent to elevator music.

  16. On the bad side, I listened for 21 seconds, which were wasted. On the plus side, I’m no longer constipated.

  17. Not even going to listen. Instead, I’m youtubing K’Naan’s Wavin’ Flag. May it reign as the World Cup anthem in perpetuity.

  18. So, it pretty much it sounds like every other crappy Pitbull song…

Way to go FIFA, seriously, was there no Brasilian music act that better represented this Brasilian WC?
