The Chicago Fire are not off to an impressive start in 2014, but the same cannot be said of rookie Harrison Shipp.
The Notre Dame product and Homegrown Player signing has gotten off to a solid start in his first month as a professional, starting in three of the Fire’s four games in March and assisting on two goals. The 22-year-old attacker’s performances have already made him a key part of Frank Yallop’s new-look Fire squad, and also earned Shipp the SBI MLS Rookie of the Month award for March.
Shipp beat out Chivas USA’s Thomas McNamara and Eric Miller of the Montreal Impact for March Rookie of the Month honors.
What do you think of Shipp being named SBI MLS Rookie of the Month? Agree? Surprised by his contributions this early into the season?

He’s not technically a rookie but 18 year old Kellyn Acosta had a strong month for FCD..
I was on the side he put that beautiful cross into the box against the Red Bulls that Amerikwa missed. Yeah…Amerikwa missed. It was a quality cross.
