It is a soccer-filled Wednesday night as a pair of MLS nightcaps headline tonight’s action.

In Wednesday’s first game, the Houston Dynamo will head to RFK Stadium to take on D.C. United, who will be without star striker Eddie Johnson due to suspension. The Dynamo have won five straight over United, a streak that dates back to August 2012. However, the Dynamo will be without Boniek Garcia and Brad Davis, who are with their respective national teams for pre-World Cup camp. For their part, United enter Wednesday’s contest having picked up four of the past six possible points, including a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Montreal stemming from an 84th minute Johnson equalizer.

The second game sees the LA Galaxy host FC Dallas in a match-up of two teams on opposite sides of the table. The Galaxy enter Wednesday in last place in the Western Conference and will be without stars Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez. Meanwhile, FC Dallas sit third, but will be looking to break a five-game win-less streak.

In additional soccer viewing, the second episode of ESPN’s seriesĀ “Inside: US Soccer’s March to Brazil” debuts tonight at 10 p.m. ET.

    • After some poor early touches, and cursing by me, Zardes played really well. I’ve almost given up on the kid many times but, he gets a stay after tonight. Man, that Keane goal was life affirming.

  1. Wow. DC United looked so much better with Eddie Johnson.

Frank Yallop could never find space for a talent like Chris Rolfe. Good thing the Fire made that trade.

  2. Houston did not seem very interested in playing that game at all (until they went down 2-0, that is). pretty bad performance
