The Montreal Impact may be struggling in MLS, but they are one step closer to Canadian glory after picking up a road draw vs. Toronto FC on Wednesday.

The Impact picked up a valuable away goal en route to playing to a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC at BMO Field on Wednesday night in the first leg of the Amway Canadian Championship. Doneil Henry opened the scoring for Toronto FC just 20 minutes in, but Justin Mapp canceled out the goal with a splendid strike in the second half.

The decisive leg will be played next Wednesday at Stade Saputo, with the winner of the series booking its place next to the New York Red Bulls and El Salvador club CD FAS in Group 3 of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League.

What do you think of the 1-1 draw between Toronto FC and the Impact? Surprised TFC could not pick up a win at home? Do you see the Impact pulling off the upset in this series?

  1. question to everyone because I never see Montreal games….

Mapp > Brad Davis??????????? from highlights, he definitely looks faster at least, just don’t know about his skill level.
