  1. BREAKING, our team captain just gave this sage advice to Julian Green about playing in Brazil: “Approach it like it is your last”. I mean, is Clint not great.

  2. This is wonderful. I am a long time Man City fan and you have Yaya (and/or his agent) complaining about being disrespected because the owners didn’t shake his hand on his birthday (or buy him a Bugatti). Friedel is refreshing here. I remember playing in a Bay Village OH tournament back in the early 80s. My coach said we should go watch this guy playing goalie before our next game. It was brad Friedel and he was probably 12 of 13 at the time, 6ft + and playing against guys 3 or 4 years older. He was a beast back then, too.

    • While I also get annoyed by Americans forcing British colloquialisms, using them doesn’t make one a chav. That isn’t what a chav is at all. And Friedel has spent the better part of the last two decades living in England. You live somewhere that long, you pick up the local lingo.

      • i think he meant in general. Not Friedel. cause obviously Friedel isn’t a chav. he spent 8 years in Blackburn. he has their accent.

  4. top 10 GK in PL history, who agrees?

Vastly underrated since he’s american and the 2002 WC was his only international tournament

      • That’s probably true, but he has made it in Europe for quite a long time. And overrating or not, he was awesome in that world cup. And as an American, that’s all that matters to me.

      • What’s definitely true is that we have no reliable, accepted, or precise way of rating any player.

      • well also he’s played on smaller clubs. NO CL for him so that def takes a lot of the world class alure that other guys on big clubs get.

had he played a season of CL football, i think he could have shown his worth. such a shame. Spurs is the biggest club he ever played with.
