BREAKING, our team captain just gave this sage advice to Julian Green about playing in Brazil: “Approach it like it is your last”. I mean, is Clint not great.
This is wonderful. I am a long time Man City fan and you have Yaya (and/or his agent) complaining about being disrespected because the owners didn’t shake his hand on his birthday (or buy him a Bugatti). Friedel is refreshing here. I remember playing in a Bay Village OH tournament back in the early 80s. My coach said we should go watch this guy playing goalie before our next game. It was brad Friedel and he was probably 12 of 13 at the time, 6ft + and playing against guys 3 or 4 years older. He was a beast back then, too.

While I also get annoyed by Americans forcing British colloquialisms, using them doesn’t make one a chav. That isn’t what a chav is at all. And Friedel has spent the better part of the last two decades living in England. You live somewhere that long, you pick up the local lingo.
That’s probably true, but he has made it in Europe for quite a long time. And overrating or not, he was awesome in that world cup. And as an American, that’s all that matters to me.
What’s definitely true is that we have no reliable, accepted, or precise way of rating any player.
Sure we do. We have FRANK.
Pull out the old excel spread sheet FRANK. We’ve got some work to do..
well also he’s played on smaller clubs. NO CL for him so that def takes a lot of the world class alure that other guys on big clubs get.
had he played a season of CL football, i think he could have shown his worth. such a shame. Spurs is the biggest club he ever played with.

“i cant help it when my parents did what they did”
hilarious!

The Guzan joke did it for me … I just died …
watching this was a waste of time
but reading your comment was worth all ten minutes it took me to work through your complex prose and vast vocabulary.
+34
LOL. Your comment GoogleyEyes reminded me that many times I read inane articles on SBI more for the comment section then the actual article.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, LeaveReply 🙂
r u sure? I think it was great. In fact, I will watch it a few more times.
Maybe u should 2. It may get you out of that bad place u r in.
As much as his accent is understandable glad to hear him acknowlege how ridiculous it is
It’s a hot mess of nothing in particular. It just yoyos all over the place.
that’s why it’s so great, though! He has no control over it. Fun.
The Singapore accent speaking is sooo hard to figure out too. Many of them have American pronunciation but… the accent is so hard to place.
blimey, mickey,
when will Yanks avoid these ridiculous british terms.
you want people to accuse u of being a Chav

i think he meant in general. Not Friedel. cause obviously Friedel isn’t a chav. he spent 8 years in Blackburn. he has their accent.
Men In Blazers making an appearance!
Dominate
is he retiring? i heard he was getting his coaching license while at SPURS
top 10 GK in PL history, who agrees?
Vastly underrated since he’s american and the 2002 WC was his only international tournament
And since hes american, americans overrate him

Or Liverpool…or Galatasaray
I want to see Guzan’s response….
Lol that one was good
Bahaha.
The mid 50s joke had me dying
Yep. Awesome!
Good stuff. Friedel is pure class on and off the pitch.
