France failed to score on Wednesday for the first time at the 2014 World Cup, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

During France’s scoreless draw with Ecuador, Ecuador goalkeeper Alexander Dominguez practically stood on his head to preserve a clean sheet, making nine saves and denying Olivier Giroud, Karim Benzema, and Antoine Griezmann from clear goalscoring opportunities.

Dominguez’s performance made him an easy choice for SBI World Cup Man of the Match. Dominguez beat out teammate Jorge Guagua and France defender Laurent Koscielny.

What did you think of Dominguez’s performance? Which player stood out the most to you in Ecuador’s scoreless draw with France?
