A week filled with blowouts shook up the playoff races in Major League Soccer, and gave us plenty to talk about in the latest episode of The SBI Show.

Episode 159 takes a look back at MLS Week 24, including Real Salt Lake’s impressive win against Seattle, the Columbus Crew’s upset of the Los Angeles Galaxy and FC Dallas’ blowout of San Jose.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also discuss Americans Abroad, including Rubio Rubin’s debut with FC Utrecht, and Geoff Cameron’s absence from the Stoke City squad. We also answer some of your questions in the latest SBI Show Q&A.

  1. I noticed Ives mention this last show aswell, but Rodwell is not a striker. He’s a defensive midfielder so no competition from him for Jozy’s spot.

    • Yep, that’s my fault. I’ve got a brain fart that constantly makes me confuse Rodwell and Ross Barkley. A glitch in the Matrix, if you will.

  2. As always, I loved the podcast, and have nothing but love for you and Garrett. This particular podcast, however, was a little hard for me to hear, on account of the little, big-eared elephant that was trumpeting away.

His tones brought some of my favorite Disney rhymes to my head:

Through the snow, and sleet, and hail / Through the blizzard, through the gale / Through the wind and through the rain / Over mountain, over plain / Through the blinding lightning flash / And the mighty thunder crash / Ever faithful, ever true / Nothing stops him, he’ll get through.

It inspired and encouraged me, it refueled my love for rebellion.
When are we going to acknowledge a winner of the long forlorn SBI Show contest, from episode 139? I know that I am a lone voice advocate, but I will never abdicate, nor cease to declare to hear answers for all fans of SBI Show, that would like to trust in their beloved critic’s contest accountability. Forgive me, for not injecting my plea with more of my renown humor, and humility, but there is a legit hollywood screenplay riding on me getting really dramatic right now, losing my head, and calling you out in front of the whole world, and the twelve people who will read this.

If you wish to moderate me, you have not seen “The Battle of Algiers”, or have yet to realize that this version of Julia Robert’s Erin Brockovich harnesses the spirit Ali La Pointe!
