Liga MX Round 4: A Look Ahead

Coming off a stellar performance on the road at Puebla, Club America look to stay unbeaten when they visit Tigres UANL.

Raul Jimenez scored a hat-trick for Las Aguilas as they torched Puebla, 4-0, but America face an even tougher test this week with Tigres also in solid form. Tigres have scored five goals in their last two games as Americans Jose Torres and Herculez Gomez look to lead the Tigers further up the Liga MX table.

Through the first three weeks of the season, out of three teams in the city of Guadalajara, the best so far has been Atlas, who are in second place with seven points. American left back Edgar Castillo has been a mainstay in the lineup and captain Rodrigo Millar and midfielder Enrique Esqueda have played big roles for Los Zorros. Up next for Atlas is a test in the heat of Mexico City on Sunday afternoon, at Pumas UNAM.

Elsewhere in Liga MX action this weekend, Santos Laguna host Camilo Sanvezzo and Queretaro, struggling Pachuca host Chivas de Guadalajara, and woeful Club Tijuana hit the road to take on equally poor Morelia, with both teams searching for their first win of the season.
