Well, he made up for first giving the ball away and then failing to hold the offside line, but I guess if you are going to mess up twice you better get back and clear that ball off the line.
This. And don’t forget the fact that he stood still with his hand raised for three seconds calling for offside before finally deciding to track back. If he chased it from the start, he probably would have collected the ball and kept possession.
reminds me of that Cherundolo save from like a decade ago. he ran like 50 yards to keep the ball out of his net.
why is this man so underrated? 15 years at the same club in Germany is quite a sight to behold. He captained them to their highest finish ever in 2011, 4th place. So close to the Champions League
I don’t think anyone underrates him. He is just a defender and thus never in the spotlight unless he makes a mistake. I think most US fans consider him one of our greatest players ever. Lack of recognition and spotlight = life of a defender.
Who do you think underrates him? Most people on this site recognize his brilliance. The people at Hannover absolutely LOVE him. He was a steady professional influence for a long time. As a fullback he was rarely flashy. Maybe he’s “underrated” due to the lack of flash, but anyone who knows the game appreciates what he did during his career.
yeah kinda hard to give him credit when it was his own bad pass that led to the play, and he blew the offside trap.
All of SKC’s kits are on point.
I particularly favor the Argyle kit. Class and class!

Took the words right out of my mouth
Agreed.
That was a terrific save, and then what should have been a PK

Because people on this site and Hannover fans aren’t most people.
