Three months after seeing Manchester City crowned champions, the English Premier League is back in action for the 2014-15 campaign.
The season kicks off Saturday morning with the Premier League debut of new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal with new captain Wayne Rooney leading the Red Devils into the season opener against Swansea City. Reigning champions Manchester City will get their season started with a trip to Newcastle, while newcomers Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers open Saturday with visits from Everton and Hull City, respectively.
Borussia Dortmund will also be in action as the club looks to build off their SuperCup victory over rivals Bayern Munich when they take on Stuttgart Kickers in the first round of the DFB-Pokal Saturday. Meanwhile, Bayern return to action in the same competition against third division side Prussia Munster.
In other action, a Real Madrid friendly with Fiorentina joins a full slate of MLS and Liga MX action throughout the weekend.

Anyone know who owns the US rights to the Eredivise this year? Can’t find any of their games.
Nobody owns the rights, last I heard (about a week ago).
If you haven’t seen Lindsey Horan play yet, check out the U-20 USWNT against North Korea on Saturday. She is a fearless, creative attacking player, a lot of fun to watch.
Seattle – Salt Lake is huge.
Are Seattle for real, or is it still Salt Lake still a step better ? The 3-0 loss at home to LA, probably suggests the worse scenerio ( Salt Lake still being better )
Go Galaxy!
When they do the TV schedule please do not talk specifics outside of Europe.
It is simply referred to as a full slate/some/a couple of MLS games. No specifically mentioning the Galaxy.
A Real Madrid friendly on ESPN Deportes is ok. MLS, no.
