There was a bit of a shakeup at the top of the SBI College Soccer Top 25, but not at the very top.

The UCLA Bruins opened the new season in impressive fashion, with a pair of road wins against traditional powers on the other side of the country. The Bruins beat Wake Forest and North Carolina by a combined 4-1 scoreline, with four different players scoring goals.

A pair of familiar schools jumped up into the Top 25 after strong opening weekends. Indiana beat Marquette and pushed Georgetown in a 1-1 tie. Todd Yeagley’s side looks ready to ride a tough defense back into the national picture after a disappointing 2013 season.

Creighton opened the season with a pair of wins, including an impressive 2-0 victory against Stanford that helped catapult the Blue Jays into the rankings, while dropping the Cardinals toward the bottom of the Top 25.
