The U.S. Women’s National Team is more than halfway to its goal of winning the 2015 Women’s World Cup, but the Americans have been far from convincing in getting there.
Episode 216 of The SBI Show discusses the USWNT’s win against Colombia on Monday, and the current state of the team, which has been doing just enough to get by throughout the tournament.
Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also look back at MLS Week 16, and we preview the loaded mid-week schedule as well as discussing the latest on the Andrea Pirlo-to-NYCFC rumors.

Thanks for the show. The last 10 minutes were gold!
I’m watching Japan play the Netherlands now – fantastic interplay by the Japanese – they are a fun team to watch. I will still root for the USA of course ….
Their second goal was just amazing. Backheel pass – then dummy – then beautiful shot curled upper left. Can be frustrating when they go long stretches up 1-0 just passing it around the final third, but they play just beautiful football.
Thanks for the Shout out!
Ives can finally prove he’s not hatin’ on Dallas by rocking his free FCD coozy. Instagram yourself enjoying a beverage of your choice from the coozy and I’ll make sure that the kabal gets word to stop telling people that you don’t like Dallas. Alternatively, you can show yourself mangling, burning, tearing, or otherwise destroying the Houston coozy to prove your allegiance. #IvesLovesBigD
Alex was good, she scored and got a PK call… but MOTM was Johnston… again!
