Between MLS, NASL, NWSL, the CONCACAF Champions League and preseason friendlies, there will be plenty of soccer on display Wednesday.

But amidst the plethora of options, the main attraction this evening is the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Tigres and River Plate (9 p.m., Fox Deportes).

On their side is the fact that River Plate attackers Rodrigo Mora and Tabare Viudez, right-back Gabriel Mercado and backup Emanuel Mammana have all been ruled out for the match. Tigres, on the other hand, will return Javier Aquino and Andre-Pierre Gignac for the second leg,

Meanwhile, the CONCACAF Champions League “Group of Death” begins with a Cascadia clash between the Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps (10 p.m., Fox Sports 1).

The two sides faced off this past weekend, with the Whitecaps earning a resounding 3-0 road win. This time, they’ll get the chance to host their rivals as the competition’s group stage gets underway.

  1. That Libertadores final was fun. Tigres easily could have won and had plenty of chances to take a lead before losing 3-0. Incredible atmosphere.
