Christian Pulisic’s fine form for the senior Borussia Dortmund team continued on Friday.

The 17-year-old American midfielder scored the fourth goal in the club’s 4-1 rout of South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Pulisic found himself wide open inside the penalty box after receiving a pass from Shinji Kagawa in the beginning of the 91st minute, and he coolly smashed the ball to the near post to beat the goalkeeper.

The goal comes a few days after he recorded an assist — setting up Kagawa — for the senior Dortmund team against Eintracht Frankfurt in Dubai.

What do you think of Pulisic’s goal? Think he will start to see more first-team minutes for Dortmund?

  1. (conversation with self) Just remember to breathe man. Breathe! Pulisic is playing great for Dortmund at 17…Morris is impressing at Bremen…Stuart Holden may be back.

THINGS ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING UP FOR THE FUTURE!!

wait…you just did what you said you wouldn’t: get your hopes up again. Stay calm, stay realistic…

but I’m grinning from ear to ear!!!! Someone wake me. I’m starting to feel happy for the first time since 2014! Happy new year, ‘Murica.

    • If you get this hyped with the limited extent of the actions of 3 players you must be desperate. As positive as the developments have been for Pulisic & Morris there is a long ways to go for both these players. Once they are playing consistently with their clubs first teams then we can look forward to their hopefully significant contributions to the USMNT.
As for Holden…..you shouldn’t hold your breath that he may be back. He may be a guest participant at the US January Camp but he doesn’t currently have a club team and similar to CD9 may never return to the level where he’ll contribute to the USMNT again. Stu still has a long road ahead of him.

  2. Well that’s certainly what you want to see out of the youngster. Every time he’s been on the ball he’s been confident, decisive, and rather deadly… Very nice contributions so far!
