This weekend in the soccer world was definitely one to remember.
Multiple players across many leagues scored exceptional goals, with a handful of them recorded on Saturday. However, Sunday had a few unbelievable strikes as well.
While Josip Iličić curled a beautiful free kick in for Fiorentina, two goals from La Liga made the rounds, including Alvaro Cejudo’s incredible volley against Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Feyenoord may have lost to AZ Alkmaar, 4-2, on Sunday, but 21-year-old midfielder Tonny Vilhena arguably scored the best goal of the Dutch Eredivisie this season.

The Aduriz goal, but Dele Alli’s goal still takes the weekend and goal of the year so far.
I know this was an exceptional weekend for beautiful goals, but I really liked these posts. I don’t get to watch soccer all weekend, but I do check SBI at least once a day (strong since 2007), and I’ve gotta say I’ve enjoyed these posts. Even just a top 3, top 5 goals of the weekend would be a great recurring post. Thanks for the good work, SBI team!
