players like: Fernando Torres, Ronaldinho, Luis Fabiano, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Didier Drogba,Yaya Touré, Michael Essien, Ashley Young, John Terry, Michael Carrick, Kolo Touré, Miroslav Klose, Gianluigi Buffon, Luca Toni will put fans in seats (which is the most important thing), get MLS picked up by major networks, sell more apparel, get more sponsorship and grow our league to rival NFL, NBA, MLB or even NHL in this country. Its not all about the team doing well like in the case of my DC United, but about entertainment, about having a famous icon to spark interest from non soccer fans, winning fans over (especially from immigrants that look down on MLS but grew up watching EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A etc) and developing the talent level of the league as a whole.
Hopefully Real Mallorca doesn’t have issues with “millenial culture”

They just hired a big time Brazilian coach, surely have cash and want to get promoted. He was coaching at Cruzeiro which is one of the big teams. He has coached pretty much every major team in Brazil and even coached Madrid for a season.
They also already signed Jadson and Luis Fabiano who are both or at least were both great players in Brazilian domestic clubs. When they brought on their coach he was apparently promised he could go out and get 3 Brazilian players.
They apparently rebranded this year and are no longer Tianjin Songjiang, and are Tianjin Quanjian F.C. with new colors and stuff. Looks like some ambition to get to the first division in The Peoples Republic.
