MLS Ticker: Union sign Ilsinho, Earthquakes add Quintero, preseason and more

Wednesday was filled with MLS preseason action, but a couple teams made headlines with more signings.

The Union announced the signing of former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Ilsinho on Wednesday. The 30-year-old, who has made one appearance for the Brazilian national team, featured in 175 games and scored 22 goals while claiming five titles with the Ukrainian club. (REPORT)

Panamanian international midfielder Alberto Quintero has joined the San Jose Earthquakes on loan from Lobos BUAP for the 2016 season. The midfielder started all six of Panama’s matches at this past summer’s Gold Cup. (REPORT)

Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in a preseason friendly. (REPORT)

FC Cincinnati slipped past New York City FC, 2-1, with all three goals coming after the 89th minute. NYCFC’s lone goal was scored by Tommy McNamara. (REPORT)

A goal and an assist from Teal Bunbury led the way as the New England Revolution topped the Houston Dynamo, 2-1, in Tucson. (REPORT)
