NASL Ticker: Puerto Rico FC, Speas, Rayo OKC and more

As the two other NASL expansion clubs continue to fill out their rosters ahead of the Spring season, Puerto Rico FC has taken a step towards preparing for the Fall campaign.

Puerto Rico FC announced that the club has set tryout dates throughout the U.S. ahead of the team’s debut on July 2. Manager Adrian Whitbread and the rest of the technical staff will hold open tryouts in Bradenton, Florida, on March 12-13 and in Los Angeles on March 19-20. (REPORT)

Ben Speas is expected to join Minnesota United, according to the Northern Pitch. The attacking midfielder was signed by the Columbus Crew as a Homegrown Player in 2012. (REPORT)

Rayo OKC has signed defender Erick Norales and midfielder Jarad Van Schaik. Norales had been a member of Indy Eleven in 2014 and 2015 while Van Schaik previously captained the Charleston Battery. (REPORT)

The Jacksonville Armada have founded a new Armada U-23 squad, which is set to compete in the National Premier Soccer League. (REPORT)

Indy Eleven has added La Liga veteran Gorka Larrea, who also previously represented the Montreal Impact. (REPORT)

FC Edmonton has announced the hiring of Jay Ball as general manager. Ball recently worked develop marketing, corporate engagement and ticketing strategies for the Women’s World Cup’s 11-match schedule in Edmonton last summer. (REPORT)

The Carolina RailHawks have signed forward Aly Alberto Hassan, a five-year NASL veteran. The 26-year-old most recently played for Ottawa Fury FC last season and had previously represented the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and Bolivian side Club Aurora. (REPORT)
