David Beckham is getting more support for bringing a soccer club to Miami, while D.C. United have added a new signing.

A new report from the Miami Herald says 57 percent of Miami-Dade voters supported the soccer plan to use private money to build a soccer stadium on land that Beckham’s partners want to buy from the county. (REPORT)

D.C. United announced Wednesday that the club has signed forward Alhaji Kamara, whose soccer-playing career was in serious question this winter due to a heart condition. Kamara previously played with IFK Norrkoping of the Swedish first division. (REPORT)

According to a report out of Milan, Orlando City’s Cristian Higuita has drawn interest from Italian powerhouse AC Milan. At 22 years old, Higuita has played and started in six games for Orlando City this season. (REPORT)

Orlando City head coach Adrian Heath has been suspended for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violating the League’s policy regarding Entering Field of Play. (REPORT)

Orlando City forward Pedro Ribeiro successfully underwent back surgery last week and will spend most of the season recovering. Heath hopes that he could be back for the last five or six weeks of the season. (REPORT)

New York Red Bulls II announced on Tuesday that the club has finalized a partnership with Montclair State University to upgrade the university’s current Pittser Soccer Complex to serve as the club’s home beginning in 2017. The remainder of the season will be played at Red Bull Arena. (REPORT)

San Jose Earthquake’s forward Steven Lenhart will be on the IR for the remainder of the season. His contract will expire at the end of the current campaign. (REPORT)

  1. Pity about Lenhart. Looks like Nigel De Jong gets to shoulder the burden of uglifying MLS on his own this year.

      • What’s misunderstood about him? He’s really not talented enough for MLS but he has made a career of knocking people down and getting under peoples skin. He knows what he’s doing, I hope he recovers and plays more he’s fun to watch.
